Hi I have a remote tracker that needs caller ID switched on. Can I send a text command to switch this on. If not how would I do this with the sim in an old phone (tracker has a large sim card) Thanks

Usually done via the settings menu on the device if you can get to the settings, but depending on how old it is the option may not be there.

Myself I would put the sim in a mobile and set caller ID to be turned on, via the settings of that phone, then switch back.
If your tracker has the option of sending sms the code to activate caller ID is *31# then send

The caller ID 'setting' on the phone is network provisioned so all a phone is doing is sending the relevant mmi code when you select the required option.

I guess by large we're talking 2ff not credit card? In which case finding an older phone to take it shouldn't be too hard - then use the code or phone setting as appropriate.

If all that fails then O2 customer services should be able to get the network engineers to effect the change network side.
