sim change, waiting for new sim to be delivered but old sim already deactivated?

hi, i just finished requesting for a new nano sim to be delivered but i noticed a few hours after that my sim has been completely deactivated and has no service, is this normal?

i thought i was meant to recieve a blank sim then sim swap.

Have you received the new sim at all?

The deactivation of your old sim should not have happened until your new sim has arrived.
