my Sim doesn't work anymore! is it because i've not made a call in a while?

i had a pay go Sim  with £66 credit

 

only reason that i tried it out is that i was gonna give it to my elderly parent in isolation (they don't do mobiles!)

You must keep the sim active by using it at least once every 6 months.

If it hasn't been reallocated, you can call customer service on 4445 to have it reinstated.

Your credit will follow 24 hours later Guide: How to find help & contact O2
