iphone 4 to iphone 5S

Hi

I want to give my old Iphone 5 S to my Mum, she has an Iphone 4 and is on pay as you go.  Can I get a Sim card that fits with her number or will she have to have a new number?

@Alidye any O2 shop will give you a new SIM with your number on it for free.

thank you for your reply, the problem is, it is difficult for me to get to an O2 shop, there isn't one close to where I live and by the time I finish work they are closed.  Can one be ordered online?
