can i insert my new sim card straight away after ive registered my old number on the new sim card? or do i have to wait until i lose service from my old mobile?.

The sim swap has completed so you can now reset your old phone, sign out of find my iPhone and iCloud, remove old sim and throw it away.

If you followed the process correctly your old SIM should turn off immediately. 

Then just insert your new SIM.

hi thank you for this. 

 

my old iphone is not turning off, is that normal?

my new phone has my old number. thats fine but what do i do with the old one? 

turn it off and take out the sim card? wiould the old phone still have my data on without the sim card? 

 

it says no service on my old one as well, is that a good thing?
