i have 2 phones on pay as you go and i have noticed that the balance sometimes goes down by a pound and the pound comes back the next day. this is not a problem but i would like to know what causes this to happen.

i am not on classic pay as you go and my data is turned off so there wont be and data usage

It applies to any tariff without data included in a bundle.
It also makes no difference if you have data on or off on phone as far as the system is concerned.
