In the last few days when I access YouTube via the O2 network, I'm not allowed to comment on videos I normally watch or am subscribed to. In my Settings in my Account the on/off switch for restricted mode is greyed out.
O2 shop assistant told me this morning to uninstall YouTube which of of course is not possible as part of system
Any suggestions?
YouTube worked perfectly OK using my Wireless network.

You're the second person today with this issue so O2 must have changed something.

Check your age restriction settings Guide: O2 Age restriction

and youtube advice here https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/174084?co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid&hl=en

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Thanks. I went to the Age Verification page and entered my Credit Card details. Will the £1 charge, if charged, be refunded as a PAYG customer?

It will be added as credit to your balance.

Thanks but will it appear as a debit on my credit card balance as other purchases are - sorry to appear naive.

Yes it will.

You have paid O2 £1.00 to verify that the card is yours and thus over 18.

They then give it back to you as credit.

I am experiencing the same issue. Today all my content is restricted. I’ve checked my age on o2 details and it’s fine (1993). I don’t have a credit card...only my debit.
Why has it suddenly changed my YouTube access? I’ve been looking and looking on google and I can’t find anything. I actually pay for YouTube premium £11.99 a month so this is affecting my subscription.
Thanks

Well, it's Thursday and that £1 has not yet shown up on my online Natwest account in the Credit Card account section!

It's Nov 11th as I write this and still no charge on my Credit card for removing that restriction.
