I checked my balance on 18 september and it was £8.52.
I did not use the phone until I check the balance again on 29th october and it was £9.29.
Why has the balance increased?

If you use any amount of data, O2 take £2 from your balance.
At the end of that day, they refund the difference between the £2 and the actual amount of data used.
This explains why your balance can decrease and increase over a 24 hour period.
