How do I keep my old number when changing from 3G to 5G pay-as-you-go phone, both on O2

You can do a sim swap @ralphj to transfer from the old sim to the new one.

Thanks, being forced to drop 3G phone and move to 4G or 5G and worried that I would not be able to keep / port my previous number.

Just a reminder O2 still don't offer 5G to their PAYG customers. They are also dragging their heels on 4G Calling.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

As a side issue, 5g is not available on PAYG.
