Voice calma not working in roaming

Hi,
I’m currently abroad in Portugal and data and text messages work fine but no way to make or receive voice calls. Support has no clue nor suggestion to make it work. If I switch the network selection to manual and flick around a few times between networks it eventually works but only for a few minutes. Then the same happens again. Any help would be most appreciated.

It sounds as if there is a network problem in Portugal. (the fact it works when you select another network points to this)

Suggest turning off auto network selection and keep it on manual.

Also is there any chance you could try your sim in another phone? Or even try a local sim and see if that works?

Thanks for your reply. I tried it with my wife’s phone and same thing happens. She’s with EE and no issues. I tried her sim on my phone and same problem. Using her sim with my phone and no issues.
It’s definitely an O2 problem and nothing to do with my phone nor the local networks.
