I have a payg  basic sim which is used by my daughter when she visits the UK once or twice per year.

Other than a text, a call, or use of data, is there a valid activity on the O2 website that I can use every few months to keep the sim activated.

Change of some personal details perhaps.

Hi @Etypejag

You need to make a chargeable call or text every 6 months and top up ever 999 days.

Nothing else will do.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

In days of old when O2 provided an online text service, you could keep the sim active that way. Nowadays the physicalities of something chargeable is the only accepted method.

To be honest even if a sim hasn't been used in 9 months, a call to customer service and it will be activated immediately with any unused credit added 24 hours later.
