Unlocking Sony ax1 ultra

Requested unlocking code, received one and tried it, says not right code, so I asked again, o2 sent same code, so it got escalated and I got reply saying its the right code so contact Sony, but Sony states all good its o2 that needs to unlock sim? But o2 insisting the code is right, I have topped up credit, tried different sims but I can not get the Sony to accept, I have 3 attempts left before it locks for good, any ideas what to do next
