I have given my old O2 Doro 6520 (non-smart) phone away and the new owner has put an EE sim card in the phone its now asking for an NP Code, which I believe is a network unlock code.
I have called O2 and asked them for the code, they told me that it will take 7 working days to unlock, which is fine, I called back after 3 days just to make sure that the request was being progressed (as the person I spoke to initially did not seem confident in what he was doing) so I spoke to someone else today who advised me that the request had been rejected due to missing information, so he took the information again and said the phone would be unlocked within 7 working days.
I asked him how the unlock code will be sent to me, he said that a code would not be sent the phone would just unlock itself within 7 days and be fully usable, is this correct or should o2 be sending a code to me to pass on to the new owner.

Thank you, I went through the link and tried to fill out the form in the pay as you go section (https://www.o2.co.uk/help/device-and-sim-support/unlocking-an-o2-mobile-to-use-on-a-different-networ...) but got to the last page and got this message below, doesn't tell me what went wrong!
Can anyone help?

Not unusual to see website bugs.
Trey messaging O2 on social media.
If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this.

I messaged them on twitter 4 hours ago but no response, do they normally take long to respond?

They try to respond within 24 hours but sometimes need a push to remind them.

Sad to say it's not unusual any more.
