i have topped up my account using my credit card but my account is showing zero balance

Depends on your bundle, @0213 - if you are on a £10 big bundle, and you top up £10, that drops to zero as your monthly bundle charge is applied.

If you top up £20, your bundle will use £10 and you'll have a balance of £10 left for next month, assuming you have no additional charges for any services in the intervening time (eg calls outside your bundle, MMS, Charge-to-mobile spend, extra data over your bundle limit, etc.)
