Top up not applied to balance?

I have been trying to activate my new PAYG mobile and topped up £10 which I can see I have paid on my banking app and have received confirmation text from O2 but it has not been applied to my O2 balance therefore I cannot make calls etc. Customer services are closed. Has anyone else expereinced this - is there anything I can do now?

Credit is exchanged for allowances so you should have mins, texts and data.

I have paid and topped up but balance shows as zero and I cannot use data or make calls or send texts been almost an hour since the top up now.

as explained above, balance will be zero as credit is exchanged for allowances.

You can use your allowances on anything as eplained here Guide: Your Allowances - what is and isn't included

Sorry I'm not sure i understand - why can I not send texts calls etc after paying?

You should be able to call or text any standard uk mobile or landline.

Try rebooting your phone and check your allowances in your MyO2 http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2

when I try to send a text it says 'your balance is 0.00. Text balance free to 20202 to check your remaining tariff and bolt on allowances'. The text has arrived at its destination though.
I did this and it told me I have unlimited text etc and the earlier text said I had balance of 10.00 but Myo2 says zero. Is balance and credit different things here?

That is working perfectly.

Your credit bought your allowances of mins, texts and data.

For £10 you get 6gb of data and unlimited calls and texts for 30 days.
