hiii, so its my second time ever topping up my phone and im really confused ans there being no way to email O2 makes it even more frustrating. So the first time i topped up i put in £15 and i messaged my mother right after and ut suddenly said i have £5 left which was very confusing. Anyways, that ran out really quickly even though my data is usually turned off unless i need fo use it, and i topped up again today at £20 pounds and i messaged someone again and i got a mess from O2 saying that i had £10 tariff left. Is this supposed to be happening? im super confused. can i get some help?

No money is lost.

Any amount not required to buy your bundle with will remain as credit on your account.

£20 top-up will give you your bundle allowances plus £10 credit.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

You are on a £10 big bundle.

No matter what you top up with, you will always get the £10 bundle unless you go into your MyO2 and change your tariff..

The changes will then happen on your next anniversary date.

Allowances only renew on your anniversary date too so you won't get them just by topping up early.

Welcome to the o2 community forum.  I'm sure you won't lose your money, it will show as a credit and used for part or all of your bundle. If you read @MI5  helpful link .. this is mentioned. I'm  not as experienced in the o2 bundles etc as MI5 and I'm sure he will confirm the details with you later. I  read it briefly this morning and you can change your bundle for more facilities, it also mentions payments are kept as credits.

Good luck and best wishes TallTrees

ps  it does mention BIG BUNDLES £20 and £30

Have a good look and see what would better suit you.

The current PAYG tariffs are here.

You choose which one you want in your MyO2 https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/sim-cards/pay-as-you-go
