Sim swap

I have a new sim & phone and want to keep my original number. The only option I have at the moment is to do this via text which is to text SWAP to 20220. Do I do this from my new sim or my old sim?

To do this, you need to send a message with the word “Swap” to 20220.

• A message will then be sent back with a Auth Code. All you need to do is reply to the Message and type in the Code they have just sent you. The reason for this, is to ensure that you didn’t send a message by accident to active a Sim Swap
• A New message will be sent back asking you for the Sim ID Number. So reply back to the message with the New Sim number and press send. A SMS will be sent back telling you its complete and to wait until you lose the Network on the old Sim card.

From your old sim. Once it loses network put your new sim in.

Please be advised that O2's systems are running much slower than usual and number ports and transfers are taking days to complete rather than the usual hours.

You may have to be patient once you have started the process.
