So I want to reuse my old sim (1.5years old) but doesn't work. How do I get it to work again

You cant as it will have been terminated as per the terms and conditions and all credit lost and the number put back into the pool.

You will need to start again.

@Monty23 Call O2 Pay & Go customer service on 0344 8090222. Your number may not have been reallocated yet, and if you get the right person, there's always the possibility that they can reinstate your credit. There's no harm in trying.
