Hi

I have been out of the country since mid-december, 2020 and have not been using my sim at all. I usually do a £15 top up of my sim which i last did in early March, 2021 (just in case). I wanted to ask until when will my sim card stay valid? Do i need to do anything as i do not anticipate returning to UK until beginning of June.

Would appreciate some guidance.

thanks

@SG2:

If you haven't made a call or text since before December it may already have been disconnected.

This from the T&C's

7.1. If you do not carry out any chargeable activity at least once in any 6 month period your Mobile Phone will be disconnected and you will lose any remaining credits balance on your Account. If you wish to be re-connected after this time you will be given a new Mobile Phone number.

Hi @madasaf1sh . Thanks for your guidance. Reading from the term you mentioned as the 6 month period has not lapsed yet (4 months have passed since December 2020), should i do a top up online and do a chargeable activity to prevent losing my number??? Appreciate your guidance.

Thanks

SG

@SG2

Just top up and see what happens. It's not 6months until June.

Guide How to Top Up (PAYG)

Edied to add, as you topped up in March, that should take you until September.

Just be aware, depending on where you are travelling to, your allowances may be used up more quickly, if you are outside of the EU.

@SG2

Topping up should be sufficient but to be safe, make a call or send a few texts at least once every 6 months.
