Trying to do a sim swpa via text and it's not working. My old sim card is still active. Can someone help?

Tried to go to the website but message saying there are issues with the website.

@Damo There are problems with the sim swap system at the moment. If your old sim is still active just use that if it's the same size you need.

It's best to use your old sim for the time being if it's the same size

Yeah it's still working and I'm using it. But I've taken out a sim card deal which means I'm paying £16 per month for sim deal which I can't use...

Do you mean you had an old deal and you started a new one?
You need to call customer services then and ask them to move your number to your new deal.
But would have been much simpler if you had upgraded...

What I've had was pay as you go.

I took a sim deal out to pay monthly and have my number moved to sim deal.

I've tried to ring customer services but it said that only urgent enquiries can be answered such as stolen phone or something else.
