When I sent text to contacts it arrives to them as being from 'infomessage' and not from my number and they are unable to reply (sending message fails)

I have removed the SIM and restarted phone and they have removed /re added my contact details on their phone - no joy - texts from me still showing as being from infomessage on their phone.

I have a payg mobile

Any help appreciated

Open message settings and look at the settings. Turn off message bulletins or message headers.

Hi thanks for replying. Can't find anything like that in my phone menu - I've an Nokia 2720 Fold. (old tech I know)!

Is there a character set option?

If so, choose unicode.
