SIM card

I have a standard SIM card that I have had for years but I would like to keep my number and transfer it on to a esim card

I'd advise 2 things, @NM64 - an esim is more hassle than its worth especially at upgrade time (O2 don't do esim on PAYG!), and when you decide to go contract, you would be best advised to do it in-store, bringing photo id with you (and other proof of address if you are going to, as a contract will be required (with O2) to get the esim option.
