Hello,

i understood  that there are no roaming changes for Switzerland but then I got charged and most of the time I was unable to connect, kind of double whammy. Any ideas of why I got charged for something not working?

thank you!

There are charges for PAYG users.

Something must have worked for you to be charged.

If faced with similar difficulties in the future, try manually selecting different networks.

Data will probably work OK but calls may be hit or miss as countries close 3G (part closures now in Switzerland)

O2 now recommend having 4G calling but sadly don't support it on PAYG.

If you are intending to go to Europe again this year you may need to be on a different network.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

O2 will tell you that calls should still fallback to 2g. Most phones stilll have the option in network settings to use 2g as a seperate switch to turn on.

Most roaming issues are down to the roaming network so trying different ones can usually help.
