Roaming in France (pay monthly)

Despite having the free O2 Travel bolt on, which includes France, last time I was there it didn't work at all. I'm off to France tomorrow and have a work call on Wednesday. What do I need to do to 100% ensure I can take my work call while in France?

Call customer service on 202 for contract or 4445 for PAYG and ask them to check you have international usage enabled and no bars in place.

Unless you are on a skiing holiday surely you didn't need to go all the way to France for snow?
