Hi, I bought my wife a new Nokia Mobile phone and she wishes to keep her old O2 number. The existing sim card is too big for the new phone. So I purchased a £5 top up new sim card. Which I have inserted OK and I rang customer services and a gentleman said it would take 24 hours to change. JUST ONE QUESTION, should I top up her new nokia or wait until the swap has been finalised. I presume it will not recognise her old number until this has been actioned. Kindly put my mind at rest Thank you Patrick

You can top up now against the new number or wait until the transfer is complete and top up against the old number.

The top up will transfer across if you do it now anyway so won't be lost.
