Why if I make local a call on my pay as you go phone do I get charged when there is no answer to my call.

 

Surely this cannot be right ( just topped up and charged for 2 unanswered calls)

You are quite right, there is no charge for unconnected calls. Yiu need to call customer service or use live chat to query this.

Are you sure charges are for the calls?
As I guess you are on the Classic 321 tariff you will be charged for using data too so your phone could be doing that, maybe checking for emails, updating your weather app etc?
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
