Porting In

I arranged to port my number from Tesco last Thursday. Tesco stopped servicing the number on Friday. Put the O2 SIM in, it went to 'emergency calls only' and stayed that way for two days, when it went to the 'temporary' O2 number. It's been on that number since, for seven days. I've been on O2 Chat or called Customer Services every day for six days. Every time I'm told the port has been 'personally escalated' and will happen within 24 hours. It continues not to. What is going on?

The only thing you can do is to constantly reboot your phone and keep on to customer services.

It could be a split port. (one which hasn't happened properly.)

@LouisLouis what phone are you using?

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Hi, I'm using on old Huawei (Y550) - does it make a difference? BTW, I'm still on the 'temporary' O2 number, nine days after the supposed port...

No it makes no difference in this case. You’ll have to persevere with customer service I’m afraid unless @EmilieT can help?
