@Anonymous Sometimes the port takes longer than the time it was promised. Give it overnight. And try turning the handset on and off again. If it hasn't changed by morning, you'll have to call Customer Service. It's possible for ports to fail, but it can be requested again. We've seen a number of failed ports from Virgin and from EE of late, EE being the network that Virgin piggybacks on.

You can also message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this.

Has your Virgin sim lost connection yet. Have you rebooted your phone.

Otherwise you can only call customer service for an update

The virgin sim is still active in the old phone and I have tried rebooting the the iPhone 5c with the o2 sim, that works okay but It's still the original o2 number.

If the Virgin sim. I is sill connected then the port hasn't started. There should be no problem other than the delay. If it's not not done by morning then call O2 customer service. They are res for the port unless Virgin haven't released the porting files but customer service will better advise you early morning.

So far it's all been virgin that has cocked it up, they never cancelled the contact so the number was registered on two networks but only worked on virgin, I phoned at 4pm to virgin to sort this out and got a gentleman who regenerated a new PAC code that I gave to 02 , I then get a text message to my daughters phone saying her contact will end and this is your PAC code meaning that they have cancelled the wrong one 😡😡😡😡 , I then get in contact with virgin again to sort this out and they cancel all contacts not just the original and get cut off before I can sort that out 😡😡😡😡😡.l call again and they raise a complaint about the first gentleman and re enstate daughters contract and cancel the original contract as I requested, 😩😫 so now I have to wait 24 hours for it to register and sort itself out. I think I'm going insane and need a drink 🥃 or two 🍺🍺.

I’d suggest you drink the entire bottle mate. You’ve deserved it!

Well everything crossed for you now @Anonymous at least there some light for you now. I can't believe how someone can screw a simple thing so badly and leave others to sort things out and yet again it's the customer that has to do all the chasing.
