@Luke35

Maybe, maybe not.

We've speculated the same here as they now have giffgaff giving 5g and wifi calling etc and there's no money in it for O2.

No one here will know for definite though.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

The rumours have been around for a while across the industry that not just o2 but other networks might close their PAYG offerings, and leave these to Virtual Networks such as GiffGaff, Voxi and Smarty (these are all owned by the Networks)...

And to be honest I can see it coming sooner than we all think...  but we could all be wrong...

Rest assured you will be told and I assume automatically given the choice to move to giffgaff.

They will need to make a move on 4G Calling if they are going to keep PAYG.

giffgaff say it will take 4 months to supply it to all their customers and O2 have many more. There is only 5 months to the start of O2's 3G shutdown, so O2 will have to move soon one way or another.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

No chance of that ever happening.

There is likely to be advance notification of sorts when O2 stop accepting new PAYG customers.

That will signal the beginning of the end. 👍
