Pay as you go international roaming

do the pay as you go big bundles that allow you to make calls to countries outside europe ALSO allow you to use that plan while you are in those countries or is to just to call/text them from the UK? I am trying to find a pay as you go/contract free option that allows me to use data in the USA/Canada

The answer is No.

 

o2 PAYG is not the option for you then, and I dont know of any UK PAYG provider that allows you to use your UK allowances in the US/Canada.. 

 

Have a look at Truphone or the like as they might....

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

Or even think about a sim only contract. You will have the option to use your phone in the US. You can have a sim only for 30 days, 12 months or 24 months. Certainly gives you more options for travel abroad.

so if i got a sim only 30 day contract id be able to add the travel bolt on and then use my data in the US?
