Pay as you go caribbean

Could anyone help with a query re using a pay as you go mobile in the Caribbean ? I am going on a cruise and whilst I realise it will cost a huge amount whilst on the ship, I am wondering how much it costs to send and receive sms text messages only whilst in ports. I’m happy to use a simple quad band mobile. I’d be grateful for advice as have searched online without success, thank you

You really should keep your phone off whilst on board and use WiFi when you are on land...

You could call the cruise company before you travel and ask for the rates on board. They will be extremely expensive

Texts are free to receive anywhere in the world and in the Caribbean will cost 50 per text message on PAYG. Enjoy your cruise 😃
