Hi, I'm new to O2, I ordered a sim, which I have received and is now in my phone. On 10th Feb I put £10 on to get started, it took this and said I have zero balance but have 10GB/texts/calls. Ive checked my balance today and I have £5 credit. I'm a bit confused, as thought topping up with £10, I would have this as credit and the 10GB/Text/Calls was a bolt on on top for a month? Can anyone explain whats happened? I cant seem to find anywhere on the O2 site that I am able to speak with O2 about this 😞 not a good start with them

@Karen29

It sounds like it has defaulted to the £10 bundle which is auto renewed each month, o2 dont offer the old school PAYG anymore...

The £5 could have been promotional credit, you need to speak to o2 either 4445 or if you message

If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this

Thanks

Looks like you are on the £5 big bundle so your top up will equate to 2 months of allowances but this bundle is no longer available to payand go custmers

Maybe you are on monthly contract

This looks like something you’ll be able to do or check in the My O2 app. We have a guide to help with that if you’re unsure how to use it Guide: How-to guide for My O2 And don’t worry if you get stuck because there’s an in-app messaging service you can use to chat with O2 who can help. Just go to the ‘Support’ tab and ‘Start a Conversation’ at the bottom.

If you still need help then the Social Media teams will be on hand, just send them a message

@Karen29

You get £5 credit for registering for your MyO2 account.

This link explains how O2 bundles work https://www.o2.co.uk/help/pay-as-you-go/big-bundles

Basically, your credit is exchanged for allowances.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
