Pac code on new PAYG sim - no credit

I have ported my phone number to an o2 PAYG SIM only to realise the signal in my area is extremely poor 0 to 1 bar.

The only option I can see is to move again to another provider. But o2 say I can only receive a PAC via text message. I do not want to waste £10 simply to send a message to move elsewhere.

Does anyone know why they cannot simply provide the PAC over the phone?

NB: I am able to receive texts and calls.

Many Thanks @O2Lisa ! Appreciate your help.

While Lisa was working in the background to sort out the PAC code, I was looking and could also find it in the My O2 App.

The steps I followed:

 

1. Once I got the SIM, popped in a phone. No outgoing but made a call to the number and used it for 1-2 mins just to make sure the number is working and active

2. Registered on My O2 app with this number

3. In the App, Go Into Mange your account and then into Manage my Personal Details. 

4. In this section, there is 'Thinking of switching from O2'. 

5. Inside that section go into  'Switch and keep your number' --> PAC code is here and also comes as a text

 

So, didnt topup and got the PAC code. Thanks to @O2Lisa who was working in the backend and confirmed that the PAC received from the app was the right one.

Hi all, hope you're all well!

I'm having the same issue needing a PAC code but do not have any credit. The text I keep receiving when texting 65075 is "There's been an issue processing your request..."

I cannot call their 202 free number either due to no credit it doesn't connect, even though it's supposed to be free.
