I am 80 years old and not good with technology so I asked in an O2 shop how I can use my PAYG phone in Europe. I was told it won't work as it only works for pay monthly phones. Is this correct?

Shops and other sales channels get a commission for selling contracts.

I suspect it was a scam to get you on to upgrade.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
