Hi

Just purchased a data sim on pay as you go, checked and it works in phone, but I cannot get it to work in the TP Link M7000 mobile wifi unit that I need it for.

My contract mobile sim works in the M7000, so I know mobile Wi-Fi unit works.

Any solutions please, thanks in advance.

Have you tried to create a new profile manually using the o2 PAYG APN details

https://www.tp-link.com/us/user-guides/m7000_v1&v2/chapter-6-customize-your-network#ug-sub-title-2

https://second-handphones.com/knowledge-centre/post/apn-settings-o2  or try these

  • APN: m-bb.o2.co.uk
  • Username: o2bb
  • Password: password

iPhone 15 Pro Max - o2 and Spusu
Xperia 1V - Spusu

Did you change the APN on the router, @Fozzy_25 - O2 PAYG and O2 Contract use different APNs.

Thanks pgn, failed to mention my contract mobile sim is with Tesco… I did check and select o2 PAYG (defaulted to GiffGaff initially), ironically it then flipped to o2 contract I had to repeat this process a few times until it stayed as o2 PAYG selected - strange…

The following had worked 👍👍👍

  • APN: m-bb.o2.co.uk
  • Username: o2bb
  • Password: password

How would you know to change to this without a great forum community?

Thanks both 👍
