It seems that every time I send a text I get a popup from 02 telling me what my balance is and to text balance free to 20202 to check my remaining tariff and Bolt On allowances.

I'm sure they mean well, but I'm fine topping up if I really feel it's necessary. I've tried removing some of the permissions on the app. Are there any I should avoid removing because they are necessary?

Many thanks.

Phone 4445 and ask for Balance notifications to be turned off

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Phew, thank you Enlli. That was so interesting, they wanted me to buy another 10gb of data plus get some 3 month trials of Amazon Prime Apple Music and Disney plus for an extra pound a month.

Nice offer from them, but really not sure how to use an extra 10gb a month.

Thanks Enlli,

I have been on the phone yet again to 4445. Once more I was offered a pay monthly plan, but I guess at least they weren't going to punish me with Prime etc, the only bad side of course is that if I don't take them up on their offer they just say they will turn off the balance notifications but don't actually do so.

I'm staying on payg for now regardless, and may have to consider going on pay monthly if getting balance notification pop ups half way through texting ppl becomes too annoying.
