O2 declined my credit card payment many times for upgrading to a PAYG rolling plan. Try all cards I have, none of them work. Call customer service and say that my credit score is too low. When I check with Experian, my credit score in fact is “GOOD” and above average. If I use my card to do the payment, what I can do is leave O2 and find another provider who accepts my credit card!!!!!!!!
I have been on a PAYG £15 Rolling plan for 8 months. In a recent month, I used up all data quota before the renewal date. I try to reactivate and upgrade to £20 rolling plan. However, O2 declined my credit card payment (the same credit card I used for the autopayment of the rolling plan each month). I have tried many times on different dates and tried to use my debit card instead. However, both cards were declined. I called HSBC bank and their reply said that O2 declined my payment, not the bank. I called customer service many times and they only asked me to top-up or change to a monthly plan. I agree to change to a monthly plan. However, after running the credit check, they say that my credit score is not high enough. This is impossible as I did not have any bad credit history. So, I check my credit history with Experian and my credit score is GOOD in fact!! No hope at all. If I cannot pay, what I can do is change provider!

None of this has anything to do with Credit or Credit Score it has to do with the payment process not accepting your card.
And as you are on PAYG just get another sim for another Network and request your PAC code to take the number across..

Thanks madasaf1sh for your reply. However, I have another issue with O2.
I bought a Huawei Wifi E5573B from ebay but this wifi device is locked to O2 network. It does not work on other network sim cards. Since O2 declined my card payment, I try to unlock this wifi device from O2 network and change provider. I log in to my O2 account and request to unlock my wifi device.
[Removed]
When type in the IMEI number of my device to some websites for unlocking the device, they can search out that my device is locked to the O2 network.
Obviously, O2 does not want us to unlock our device from O2 network.
