O2 PAYG and Airtime Rewards

Hello O2, 

I topup a new PAYG account with £10 topup via Airtime rewards.

This topup is showing in my account but I can't use it. Customer service told me I need to topup my account further with a bank card to use it.

I beleive it's seems unfair as it's O2 who is adversting/promoting Airtime rewards and futher saying it's not a topup that I can use?

The point is that you need to activate the new sim by topping up with a voucher.

You can then use your airtime rewards for future top ups.

@MI5 I understand you said that in first response, my point is no where it mentioned that first topup has to be a card. It's when O2 itself promoting Airtime Rewards.

I have the same problem! Did you get this sorted? O2 won’t allow me to top up with my Airtime Rewards! They say it can’t be applied to bundles. Airtime Rewards say it can.
