Not able to make calls or send SMS in France

Arrived in France on 25th May but still cannot make or receive calls nor send or receive SMS.

Really fed up with O2 at the moment. Received a message welcoming me to France and suggesting I send a text to 2020. I can't send texts.

Apart from buying a French SIM card and binning O2, any suggestions or ideas please?

Have you tried connecting to a different network or changing from 5G to 4G or 3G? 

Also it could be a local network issue..

Other than that you need to contact o2  If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this
