New phone, new SIM but want to change to old number

I've recently bought a new phone with a new SIM card but want to transfer my old phone number to the new SIM card. I don't have my old phone and the SIM card that was in it. I went to an 02 store and they said call 4445 for a PAC code. The PAC code text came back but now don't know what to do. It hasn't transferred and I don't know when it will when it does. Also I can't login into my 02 app because it asks for a verification code sent to the account holders number which is mine but the number I want to get back. Any help would be appreciated.

If your original number was on a different network  then follow the PAC route in this guide 

If it was on O2 then follow the migration route
