I am an existing customer and have just bought a new phone. It requires a nano sim but my current phone has a micro sim. How do i change wile retaining my current mobile number. I just top up when required as largely house bound and dont need a monthly pay as you go contract

@TigerRus The sim you have should be perforated, and you should be able to pop the nano sim out and put it in your new phone. See the diagram below:
If you aren't able to do that you'll need to call customer service on 4445 and ask them to send you a new sim. Bear in mind that if you do that, O2 now has an idiotic policy of immediately disconnecting your current sim before you receive your new one.
I know you said you're housebound, but if either option above doesn't work for you, if you can get to an O2 store they will give you a new nano sim and do a swap for you. Be sure to bring photo ID with you if you choose to do it that way.
