And need to use the same number on my new Alcatel Pixel 4 and still use Pay as You Go.?

There does not appear to be an option to do it unless I use a Pay Monthly tariff.?

If the sim is a different size then if you are on O2 already, just call customer service and they will send you out a new sim with information on keeping your number, tariff and credit. Then you can do it yourself here :  http://swapmysim.o2.co.uk

  • You can do it over the phone,
  • Use the online form,
  • Text SWAP to 20220 from your old phone. When that phone loses signal it means the swap has started. Then keep rebooting the Alcatel at regular intervals until it has network connection.
  • Swap the sim through the menu on the My O2 app.

http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

If the sim is the same size for both phones then simply put the old sim in the new phone.

If you are not on O2 at the moment then you need to obtain your PAC from your present provider, call O2 and they will do everything for you when you give them your PAC which is valid for 30 days.

If there's anything you aren't sure of then just shout. I'm sure someone will be along in the morning.to add anything they think I have inadvertently missed.

@ironman123 If I'm reading your post correctly, which I may not be, you cannot have the same number on two different sim cards, whether they're Pay & Go or Pay Monthly. Only one phone number per sim card is permitted. If, however, all you're looking to do is to use the same sim in a different phone, then the answers provided in the post above should help you.

I know that each sim must have a different number.

I have an old phone and just need to use the same number on my new phone.

The old phone will not then be used.

BTW I am not used to smart phones as am old at 81 I guess.

Do both phones take the same size of SIM card?
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Glad to hear you understand @ironman123. Just to add, if you find it difficult to do the sim swap yourself, if you have an O2 store nearby, you can call in and they will do the swap for you for free. The swap can take up to 24 hours to activate, but it's usually much faster than that. I did one quite some time ago and the swap was completed within 20 minutes. Hope you get it sorted, and good luck.
