So I know that if I don't use my phone for 6 months I'll lose my number on PAYG.
Just wondering exactly what usage counts to keep it alive. I've seen the term "chargeable call" but I hardly ever make phone calls and have no idea when the last actual call I made was.
Does using data count?
Does topping up count?
Basically I need to work out when the "6 month clock" started so I can set up a reminder to do something to keep it alive until I get back to the UK next.
Thanks!

Hi @namsupo The rule begins from the last time you used your phone.
You have to make a chargeable call or text within a 6 month period and top up every 999 days
So, if you last used your phone on the 1st June...you would need to use it again before the 1st December to keep the sim active (and that would include any chargeable activity)
Hope that helps

So only a call or a text counts? Not using data?

Yes I had the same question and was told exactly that by an O2 employee. Very happy with that.
