You need to have set up a voicemail pin, then call your mobile from any other phone and press * then your pin.

This can't be done

The voicemail is attached to the mobile number

Call your phone with the message from another phone. When the answer phone kicks in, press * and then enter your voicemail PIN code

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

it won't let me, it says I have to change my pin and that can only be done from my payg mobile. is the voicemail number 901?

Yes it is (in the guide I posted) and also as i said, you needed to have set a pin for your voicemail to allow remote access.

I can't get through to 901. do I have to gave credit on my phone to access this number?

It's free if you've got an active bundle otherwise (I think) 25p per call
