Can somebody please help.

On eBay and Amazon UK some sellers are selling the O2 big talker tariff sim.

O2 had discontinued the tariff in 2019.

I have tried to contact the sellers and asked what the sim activation before date was?.

But so far no one has replied.

Can someone please confirm that even though O2 have discontinued this tariff.

If the sim activation before date had not expired then the big talker tariff should  work still by texting Big talk to 21300.

Many thanks

@Waffle

There have been quite a few questions about this tariff which is quite expensive really.

However, as long as the activation date hasn't expired then it should work. O2 still have info about it on their website https://www.o2.co.uk/help/pay-as-you-go/big-talker

You would be better off going for the Classic tariff from giffgaff or Tesco. They both run on the O2 network.

You seem to ask about this every day...

O2 no longer sell the tariff to new customers, and the sim cards I would imagine have expired.

Better deals are out there, and be quick with Tesco Mobile, as they are phasing out classic PAYG

Hi thank you so much for your reply.

When you said the tariff was quite expensive.

Is that because the cost of calls are 35p a minute and texts are 15p each.

I am on the O2 classic tariff.

I don't know anyone on O2 for the 3000 texts or 3000 texts and 3000 minutes allowance depending on how much you top up to others on O2.

I am a light user and only use my phone occasionally.

How do you know that Tesco are phasing out payg?.

I am on Tesco payg and have not heard anything.

They are still advertising payg in their latest magazine.

You know more than me.
