Sometimes texting 20202 is known to stop working occasionally. so try the methods shown above

More likely to be a system glitch with O2 @Haribo09
When I was on PAYG I originally had my account set to remind me of my balance every time I used the phone. Then it got annoying, so I just switched to the 4444 option...(I found that suited me better).
You will probably find the 20202 option is functioning later

Oh dear!. Sorry to hear that @Haribo09. Out of interest what phone do you have? (Not that it makes any difference as the ways to check your balance have all been given above) though I'm interested to hear why the phone doesn't work generally?
