Hi
I wonder if anyone can help please? I have had the same number and sim for years with O2 suddenly last week when i am in Spain when i try to make a call (which is free in my bundle) It wont allow me.
The message i get is this
"Hello your unable to contact this number because you have disconnected or restricted these types of calls"
I have checked my account online and there is no bars on any calls, I cannot even make a call to O2 and because Im in Spain I cannot visit their store. I managed to speak to someone last week who opened a case but nothing has yet been done. I am receiving texts from O2 and everything else seems to be working, I have a voicemail which could be from O2 but I cannot listen to it because when I call i get the same message.
I have tried manually choosing the network, resetting the network, rebooting the phone, airplane mode toggle and everything else possible.
Any advice would be grateful as O2 customer service for PAYG is non existent.

O2 has a very helpful Social Media team, Facebook or Instagram as listed in Guide: How to find help & contact O2 @Pepperpott
I am assuming you have credit or an active bundle in your PAYG phone account?
Also what phone make and model? The SIM should be fine for 4G I am assuming again, but 3G is getting decommissioned everywhere, make sure you have a reasonably modern handset that knows about 4G.

Not sure that there are any networks stil in Spain with 4g, which is what is required for you to make calls. You can try manually searching for one.
Also note that you are limited to 63 days roaming within any 4 month period, so don't know if you've gone over that or not?

hi, thanks for your reply. The network is showing Movistar. i have never heard of this 63 days roaming period but after googling now i should have received a text telling me if i had gone over the limit? If i have gone over the limit is the sim now no good?

Your sim will be fine once you come back to the UK to reset the limit.
For further use abroad, during this trip, you will need a local sim card or just use your apps on wifi.

Fat fingers... but seems a moot point anyway if roaming limit has been reached.
