My children’s school has recently banned smartphones so although my child will continue to have an smartphone out of school hours they need a brick phone to take to school to be able to contact me. Am I able to use my child’s current Sim and easily swap it back-and-forth to a brick phone?

Yes you can.

Just be careful not to damage it with the constant swapping.

Might be safer to have another PAYG sim just for the brick.

Yes, if you have another sim for the brick phone, it will be a different number.

That shouldn't matter though, if it's only used to get hold of you?

Both numbers will be in your contacts as belonging to your child.

It will @KristyG28 but only you need that number and only your number is needed by your child.
