I got a text off O2 saying that I won't be able to to top-up at my bank's ATM after May. So does that apply to all O2 Pay As You Go customers? Has anyone else got this message? Why are ATM top-ups being discontinued?

Hi guys,

I've received a reply on this and I can confirm that unfortunately ATM topups won't be available from the 30th May 2019.

The decision to end this service was made by the external provider and not O2. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to PAYG customers.

PAYG customers will still be able to topup using the below methods.

-   Auto top up in MyO2
-   Online
-   By phone calling 4444
-   E-top up card
-   Top up voucher

Poor decision by whoever is responsible.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

I haven't received a text about this yet but guess they're rolling them out over the next month.

Very disappointing though as I've been using ATMs to top up for years now.  I guess online top ups should be easy enough for those of us online these days though.

It's a strange decision unless people have been topping up the wrong numbers. It won't be long before banks decide o outsource their atms to Link....
