I got a text off O2 saying that I won't be able to to top-up at my bank's ATM after May. So does that apply to all O2 Pay As You Go customers? Has anyone else got this message? Why are ATM top-ups being discontinued?

Hi guys,

I've received a reply on this and I can confirm that unfortunately ATM topups won't be available from the 30th May 2019.

The decision to end this service was made by the external provider and not O2. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to PAYG customers.

PAYG customers will still be able to topup using the below methods.

-   Auto top up in MyO2
-   Online
-   By phone calling 4444
-   E-top up card
-   Top up voucher

@Aensa

No idea. Maybe one of our managers could confirm?

@Marjo @EmilieT  @Martin-O2 ?

I would need to change the guide if this is the case?

It would be a ridiculous decision if it was true!

Not applicable

That’s a very stupid decision to do. Thought E top up cards were no longer available & if your first ever top up has to be a voucher then how do you achieve that

Received a Text myself this morning: couldn't believe it but had the news confirmed by a Chat support person. They said that the providers are withdrawing this service for all ATM users at the end of May!  Chat person also said that the O2 Web site information hasn't been updated yet.

I'm amazed that we have all had so little notice and that there appears to be no other news about this on the Internet just yet.

This was my preferred method of topping-up: quick and easy to do when out and about.

Seems like ATM operators are killing off their own services starting with removal of ATM machines and charging for cash withdrawals: now this!

Yes, let the complaints begin.
